Start with the exact model
Porsche service requirements change between model generations, engines, transmissions and option packages. Before using any interval or repair advice, confirm the exact vehicle and check the maintenance information that applies to it.
Condition matters as much as kilometres
Low annual mileage does not prevent brake fluid aging, tyre age, battery deterioration, seal hardening, coolant leaks or rubber suspension wear. A good service inspection considers time, kilometres, driving conditions and the vehicle’s recent history.
Diagnosis before replacement
For warning lights or drivability faults, scan results should be treated as evidence, not instructions. Testing the related electrical and mechanical system is what turns a fault code into a diagnosis.
Plan the next 12 months
A useful service report should distinguish between safety-critical work, repairs that are causing the current complaint, preventative maintenance that is due, and items that can be monitored.
